A half-marathon relay featuring cosplay elements will be staged in the Jimei district of Xiamen, Fujian province, on Nov 19.
Fifty teams of four players each will be in themed costumes for the run, jointly hosted by the district government, the Xiamen sports bureau and China Mobile Communications Corp's subsidiary Migu.
It aims to promote healthy lifestyles, tourism and the health and animation industries.
A half-day tour of Xiamen will be available for runners to relax and have fun before and after the event. Contestants will run past the Xiamen Horticulture Expo Garden and Xinglinwan landscape.
