A delegation of nine journalists from mainstream media in Indonesia toured Xiamen, Fujian province during a visit to the coastal city from Oct 22 to 24.
The group visited the Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry Company, Guanren residential community in the city's Siming district, Southeast Asia Research Center at Xiamen University, Gulangyu Island, Zhongshan Road, one of the city's busiest commercial area, and the scenic coastal Huandao Road.
The delegation marveled at the beautiful scenery and the vibrant development of the coastal city. To help their domestic readers get a better understanding of Xiamen, some delegates even used their phones to make live broadcast of their trip.

China has decided to extend its visa waiver policy to ordinary passport holders from Canada and the United Kingdom starting from Feb 17.
Forty-one new port-of-entry duty-free shops have been established nationwide, with Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport, Xiamen Wutong Passenger Wharf, and Xiamen International Cruise Center included on the list.
