A half marathon relay featuring cosplay elements will be staged in Xiamen's Jimei district in Fujian province on Nov 19.
A total of 50 teams, with four players each, will be in different costume themes for the half marathon, which is jointly hosted by the district government, Xiamen sports bureau and China Mobile Communications Corp's subsidiary Migu.
It aims to promote healthy lifestyle and boost local tourism and the health and animation industries.
A half-day tour in Xiamen will be available for runners to relax and have fun before or after the event.
Contestants will run past the Xiamen Horticulture Expo Garden and Xinglinwan landscape avenue in Jimei.
