The consul-general of the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen, Julius Caesar A. Flores, paid a visit to Xiamen Library and the Overseas Chinese Museum on Aug 15.
The coastal city of Xiamen in East China's Fujian province has maintained close ties with the Philippines since the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen was established in January 1995.
During his visit, the consul-general expressed his country's eagerness to deepen cultural exchanges with Xiamen and presented his hosts with a set of commemorative Philippine coins as a gift.

Flores also invited the library and museum to send delegations to the Philippine city of Cebu, a sister city of Xiamen, to take part in activities marking the friendship day of the two cities in October.
