A delegation led by Klara Jurcova, deputy head of mission at the Czech embassy in China, and economic counselor Lucas Opatrny had a meeting with Shao Yuqin, deputy director of Xiamen Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, on Feb 24.
At the meeting, they discussed how to promote cooperation between the Czech Republic and Xiamen in various fields, such as economics, trade, and culture.
Klara Jurcova revealed in the talks that the Czech embassy intends to hold a "Czech Republic Day" activity in Xiamen next year, which aims to bring its industry, tourism, and culture to the city and allow the people of Xiamen to know more about the Czech Republic.
She said she would also prepare for the official visit of Czech ambassador Bedrich Kopecky to Xiamen this year, leading to further communication between the ambassador and the leaders of Xiamen.
Shao welcomed it and said that the office would spare no effort to strengthen cooperation with the embassy.
