Since China took over G20 presidency on Dec 1, 2015, several Chinese cities including Xiamen in Fujian province have hosted various meetings before the Hangzhou Summit to be held in September.
The first Energy Sustainability Working Group Meeting was held on Jan 28 in the coastal city of Xiamen in southeast China.
Delegates discussed energy access, clean energy, energy efficiency, global energy governance, implementation of previous commitments, and agreed to work together towards further progress through this year's G20 energy agenda.
Later, the third Finance and Central Bank Deputies Meeting was also held in the city on June 22 and 23.
Consensus was reached on this year's major expected outcomes under the G20 finance track. Related outcomes are ready for submission to the third G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting to be held in Chengdu for approval.
China announced and implemented on May 15 a policy allowing visa-free entry of foreign tourist groups aboard cruise ships via all cruise ship ports along the country's coastline.
China and Georgia are set to waive visa requirements for travelers starting May 28.
