Bailuzhou Park hosted a concert by noted pianist Richard Clayderman on Sunday as a part of the Xiamen Music and Art Festival. Thousands of audience members attended the open-air concert, entitled Romantic China.
The pianist opened with Murmures, followed by his trademark hit Balade pour Adeline, one of highest-selling singles of all times. The repertoire also included classic works such as A Comme Amour, Pour Else, Fate and Souvenirs D'enfance.
A dozen students from the Xiamen Piano School played the Chinese piece I Love Beijing Tiananmen Square alongside Mr. Clayderman. Pipa player Cong Zhao coordinated with Mr. Clayderman on the theme music from movie Schindler's List, while the flute player Yue Chen gave an impromptu performance while Mr. Clayderman accompanied on piano (pictured above).
Mr. Clayderman first visited China in 1992 and has toured China for more than 30 times, visiting more than 70 cities over the past two decades.
China has launched a new pilot program to allow eligible enterprises greater access to overseas financing in support of green and low-carbon transformation projects, the country's foreign exchange regulator said on Aug 21.
To further streamline the experience, China is expanding tax refund stores, broadening the range of refundable goods, and refining refund procedures, ensuring an efficient and seamless shopping experience for global visitors.
