Four Xiamen high school students studying in the United States recently produced the short documentary film "Delicious from Home", which covers traditional local dishes.
Produced in December in association with Xiamen Daily, the documentary covers more than 30 local favorites. The film will premiere this Saturday at the Xiamen Youth and Children's Palace.
Director Dongjun Wu (pictured above) gathered more than a dozen overseas students to help produce the documentary. The film is intended to stir fond memories and to introduce Xiamen culture to a wider audience, said Mr. Wu. He hopes to shoot a second English-language edition next year.
The documentary is part of a series of documentary shorts being produced in association with Xiamen Daily. The series covers the city’s local culture and social life.
