The West-Taiwan-Strait Auto Expo wrapped up on July 4 at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center. Covering an exhibition area of 80,000 square meters, the four-day event displayed 86 auto brands from 200 companies. Major draws at the event included luxury models such as the Porsche 718 Boxster, the Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 S and the Maserati Levante.
The expo encompassed a series of related events, including a photo exhibit, an after-market expo and a children’s painting competition. Part of the income from admission tickets as well as proceeds from charity sales and performances at the expo were donated to local charity organizations.
China announced and implemented on May 15 a policy allowing visa-free entry of foreign tourist groups aboard cruise ships via all cruise ship ports along the country's coastline.
China and Georgia are set to waive visa requirements for travelers starting May 28.
