A delegation led by Huang Qiang, the Party secretary of Haicang district, Xiamen, visited Cambodia, Indonesia and the Philippines from June 30 to July 9 for investment promotion, reported the Xiamen Daily.
The delegation reached agreement with the three other sides to develop cooperation in trade, tourism, culture and energy, against the background of China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
The delegation also investigated local corporate groups, such as Oishi, and visited overseas Chinese organizations, notably the Fujian General Chamber Of Commerce in Cambodia.
China's latest departure tax refund measures will allow overseas visitors to obtain instant refunds across more regions and give them up to 28 days to leave the country, making multi-city trips easier and encouraging longer stays and greater spending.
Uruguay will grant visa-free entry to Chinese citizens.
