
More than 50 teachers and students from Taiwanese universities recently arrived in Xiamen, Fujian for a week-long exchange with Xiamen University of Technology, according to Taiwan.cn.
The visitors came from Shih Hsin University, Yuan Ze University, Ming Chuan University, Tatung University, Tainan National University of the Arts, Southern Taiwan University of Technology and Kainan University.
The activity has been held for five years. This year, cross-Straits students will shoot a five-minute film about Gulangyu Island, a tiny islet covering a total area of 1.78 square kilometers just off the southwest coast of Xiamen.
Xiamen’s largest satellite islet, Gulangyu Island is renowned for its delicate natural beauty, ancient relics, and varied colonial architecture.
