The organizing committee of the 2016 China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) held a roadshow in Melbourne on April 27 to drum up support for the upcoming fair in Xiamen, Fujian province.
Speaking at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Center, Ray Evans, executive chairman of the Australia Business Forum (responsible for the Australia China Expo) said CIFIT organizers' participation and presentation at the expo was among the highlights. He added that their cooperation with the fair had been productive and that they hope to establish a strategic cooperative relationship with CIFIT.
Qiu Guoyue, deputy director of the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Convention and Exhibition Affairs welcomed Australian enterprises to take part in the fair, citing the signing of the Australia-China Free Trade Agreement as an opportunity to widen market access.
The overall structure and features of this year’s fair were presented to attendees of the roadshow. Exhibitors from previous sessions of the fair shared their experiences and answered questions from the audience which consisted of 40 representatives from business organizations and companies.
