The China Xiamen International Buddhist Items & Crafts Fair 2016 (Spring Edition) opened in Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center on April 21. The exhibition will last five days to April 25th.

Compared with the fair last year, the exhibition area has been expanded to now cover 108,000 square meters with 5,850 standard booths. 1,025 companies from 11 countries and regions including South Korea, Japan, Thailand, and Malaysia, are participating in the exhibition, which features a 36% increase in new, high-quality exhibitors. It is estimated that it will  attract more than 150,000 visitors from home and abroad.

The fair not only offers Buddhist products and services but is also closely related to the visitor's lives. According to the host, the fair has become a one-stop source for buyers to purchase Buddhist goods and crafts as it is one of the very largest trade platforms for Buddhist items. The fair is made up of eight separate exhibition areas  such as ones for Buddhist statues, temples, paintings and so on, which is both convenient and offers visitors a wide choice.

To introduce some added points of interest to the fair, a number of new creations, have been specially brought in by the exhibitors. An incense named 'Twelve girls in the Dream of the Red Mansions', inspired by the traditional Chinese novel of the same name, features thirteen different kinds of incense, each matched to one of the characters. Additionally, the fair will also include a special incense designed to be used in air-conditioned rooms.

Moreover, the Buddhist items and crafts fair will hold a series of charity activities together with ifeng.com to help poor children in need.
