A large drainage channel that was converted into a belt-shaped park in the Haicang Free Trade Zone now covers a wetland area of 100,000 square meters. It is designed to provide an easily viewed wetland area for vegetation and birds.
The park’s highlights include its wetland ecology, birds, greenery, and a landmark sightseeing platform. The drainage channel is connected to the sea, which creates an abundance of aquatic organisms and attracts many rare birds.
Apart from tall arbors and ornamental flowers, the park also features specialized orchards of waxberry, wax apples, and star fruit.As of April, there were 1,517 registered enterprises at the Startup Square in the Haicang Free Trade Zone.
