The National Art Museum of China last weekend opened a contemporary art exhibition entitled Beautiful Xiamen that hosts 104 pieces of art by local artists.
The exhibition is the result of two years of preparation and an important milestone for Xiamen artists, said Zhiwang Dai, the vice minister of the city’s publicity department. The exhibition is designed both to showcase local artists and to develop the city’s contemporary arts scene, according to Mr. Dai.
Xinlun Wang, the chairman of the Xiamen Artists Association, said that the city is currently well represented in the Chinese Artist Association, with more than 100 members hailing from Xiamen. The exhibition will run through April 12.
China's latest departure tax refund measures will allow overseas visitors to obtain instant refunds across more regions and give them up to 28 days to leave the country, making multi-city trips easier and encouraging longer stays and greater spending.
