The 8th Global Conference for Fujianese convened in Xiamen, Fujian province, on Oct 9. More than 1,600 Fujian natives from 70 countries and regions gathered at the triennial event to boost ties and push cooperation. China's latest departure tax refund measures will allow overseas visitors to obtain instant refunds across more regions and give them up to 28 days to leave the country, making multi-city trips easier and encouraging longer stays and greater spending.
