Thailand was the fourth in the most popular overseas tourist destinations for Chinese travelers in 2014, attracting approximately 4.63 million Chinese tourists. The number is estimated to reach 6.29 million this year, an increase of 36 percent.
Thailand is known for its unique Buddhist culture, history, shopping centers and theme parks. The theme of the roadshow this year is "Discover Thai-ness" and the main products include journeys to Krabi and Chiangmai, ecotourism and self-driven traveling.
Pongsathorn Kessamli, the deputy governor of international marketing for Asia and South Pacific TAT, remarked that TAT will attach more emphasis on the quality of tours and promote high-end tours. Meanwhile, he expressed hope that through the combined efforts of China and Thailand, current travel problems will be solved and more Chinese tourists will choose Thailand as their destination.
Thailand features diversity, which brings new experiences to the tourists. TAT advises touriststo choose travel agencies carefully. The average fee for traveling to Thailand is over 4,000 yuan per person, and tours of this price level can provide high-end hotels, professional tour guides and a comfortable experience.
