A working team from Bahrain - the guest country of honor for the 19th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) - landed in Xiamen on August 4, one month ahead of the fair's launch on Sept 8.
The team was led by Vivian Jamal, the executive director of business development at the Bahrain Economic Development Board - a public agency facilitating trade and investment. The purpose of the delegation's visit was to work with their Chinese partners to prepare for the exhibition and exchange activities on the CIFIT event calendar.
During their stay in Xiamen, the team visited the Jinyuan Group to discuss the possibility of financial collaboration.
The Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Convention & Exhibition Affairs said they plan to introduce business opportunities to premium Bahraini enterprises, such as Aluminium Bahrain and Bahrain Airport Co.
Bahrain is a Middle Eastern country known for its financial industry and financial services on offer. The nation's major banks, pension fund, sovereign wealth fund and social security fund will endorse the participation of Bahraini companies in future economic cooperation with China.
