A consignment of goods which is transported by sea for five days from Yokohama in Japan, is put on a freight train at Xiamen, a port in East China's Fujian province, heading for Duisburg, Germany on April 10.
Businesses active with Belt and Road countries emerged as major sources for the logistics industry in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province in the first quarter of this year, according to the local transport bureau.
"The Kingdom of Tonga will strive to launch a direct flight to Xiamen as soon as possible," said Semisi Sika, deputy prime minister of the Kingdom of Tonga.
Three students from Xiamen in Fujian province, with a combined average age of just 12, came top at the CREATE US Open Robotics Championship in Omaha, the United States, earlier this month.
