Xiamen and Nice celebrate 10th anniversary of sister city relationship
On November 11th, a grand celebration was held in Xiamen, Southeast China's Fujian Province, to mark the 10th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Xiamen and Nice, France.
Liao Huasheng, vice-mayor of Xiamen, and Christiane Amiel, vice-mayor of Nice, attended the ceremony to celebrate the 10-year milestone of friendship between the two cities.
During their talks, Liao expressed his hope for further deepening exchanges and expanding cooperation between the two cities, aim to take the friendship between the two cities to new heights.
Amie said that the 10th anniversary serves as a reflection on past achievements in exchanges and marks the beginning of broader cooperation. She invited the Xiamen delegation to attend the United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice in 2025 to strengthen the cities' collaboration in the areas of marine protection and research.
At the celebration ceremony, both sides exchanged commemorative gifts and signed a memorandum of understanding to deepen bilateral cooperation.
