Xiamen mayor meets German ambassador to China
Wu Bin, mayor of Xiamen, Southeast China's Fujian Province, met with the German Ambassador to China Patricia Hildegard Flor and her delegation on November 20th.
Wu emphasized the longstanding history of exchanges and cooperation between Xiamen and Germany, and highlighted the fruitful outcomes and vast potential for further collaboration.
He reaffirmed the city's commitment to implementing the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, saying that Xiamen is ready to enhance cooperation across various sectors with Germany, focusing on digital, intelligent and low-carbon development.
He stressed the importance of strengthening sister-city relationships, and extended a warm invitation to German companies to visit Xiamen, exploring investment opportunities for mutual benefit and shared prosperity.
Ambassador Flor described Xiamen as an open, inclusive and vibrant city. She acknowledged the significant development achieved by many German enterprises that have established themselves in Xiamen.
The ambassador expressed her hope to deepen cooperation between the two sides in the fields of economy, trade, industry, culture, education and others, as well as sub-national exchanges.
