Xiamen Party chief meets Vietnamese guests
Cui Yonghui, Secretary of the Communist Party of China Xiamen Municipal Committee, met with a delegation led by Phan Dinh Trac, member of the Political Bureau and chairman of the Commission for Internal Affairs of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, on November 14th in Xiamen, Southeast China's Fujian Province.
During the meeting, Cui outlined Xiamen's economic and social development, emphasizing the strong trade, investment, and cultural ties between Xiamen and Vietnam.
He expressed hope that both sides will take the visit as an opportunity to thoroughly implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of both parties and countries and further expand cooperation in reform and innovation, opening-up, industrial upgrade, and cultural exchanges.
Trac praised the achievements Xiamen has made in economic and social development. He described Xiamen as a shining example and leader in China's reform and opening-up efforts, with many experiences and practices worth learning from.
He expressed hope that both sides will enhance practical cooperation in areas such as port, shipping, investment, trade, culture and tourism.
