The Sixth Friendly Cultural Exchange Program, jointly organized by the Xiamen People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Huaqiao University, officially launched the Training Project for High School Math Teachers in Brazil and Indonesia on Oct 16.
The Friendly Cultural Exchange Program is mainly aimed at citizens of friendly cities and teachers and students of friendly schools, showcasing the achievements of Chinese-style modernization from multiple perspectives and in multiple dimensions. So far, five sessions have been held.
The sixth session of the program has attracted a total of 3,070 mathematics teachers from junior and senior high schools in the northeastern states of Brazil and 217 high school mathematics teachers from Indonesia.
The project aims to improve the quality of high school mathematics education, update teaching concepts, and enhance teaching skills. It relies on the high-quality teaching staff of Huaqiao University to conduct a series of 10-week specialized online training courses.
lmano de Freitas, governor of Ceara state, Brazil stated that the project will improve Brazilian high school teachers' understanding of the Chinese basic mathematics education system, providing a valuable platform for exchange and mutual learning between teachers from China and Brazil.
