Norwegian climate, environment delegation visits Xiamen
Norway's Minister of Climate and Environment, Andreas Bjelland Eriksen led a delegation from June 5 to 8 to visit Xiamen, Southeast China's Fujian Province.
During their stay, the delegation participated in the 2024 World Oceans Day and National Ocean Promotion Day event.
They also attended a seminar on the Partnership for the Green Transition organized by the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province.
Over 70 representatives from Xiamen, including officials, experts, academics and members of the business community, were invited to the seminar, which held discussions on cooperation in environmental protection, green ecology and marine economy.
Eriksen paid a visit to Xiamen University, where he gave a lecture and had talks on deepening industry-university-research cooperation between Xiamen University and Norway in the marine ecology.
The delegation also visited Yundang Lake and Gulangyu Island.
Eriksen praised Xiamen's achievements in marine ecology and environmental protection.
