Russian media delegation visits Xiamen
From May 14 to 16, a Russian media delegation consisting of 11 members from major Russian media outlets, think tanks, and the State Historical Museum in Moscow, visited Xiamen.
Peng Xin'an, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Xiamen Municipal Committee, met with the delegation on May 15.
Peng gave a briefing on Xiamen's experiences and practices in economic and social development, as well as its environmental governance.
Members of the delegation expressed their admiration for China's development and achievements. They said Xiamen's experiences and practices were worth learning from and they called for increased exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
The delegation members also engaged with representatives from the local media, including the Xiamen Daily and Xiamen Evening News, expressing their eagerness for mutual learning and cooperation in the field of news communications.
The delegation also toured the Xiamen Daily's integrated media command and operations center and explored the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site of Gulangyu Island.
